Does it take long for a consultation?

 Not extremely long but comprehensive, however it is imperative that the problem is assessed and diagnosed accurately and correctly and if that takes a little extra time then it will be worth it in the long run.

Are Orthotics Expensive?

Will they hurt to wear ?

Sometimes they can initially cause a little discomfort as the foot adjusts to the correct biomechanical positioning. Once the foot adjust however you will start to feel a lot better overall.

How long do Orthotics last? 

It will depend on the amount of wear. Usually however you will normally achieve around 2-3 years of usage.

Can I claim on my private health fund? 

Obviously this will depend on your Health Fund. But normally yes you can claim between 50-80% on Orthotics.

What if after the assessment is made of my condition, and I need medical treatment to correct it? 

At Global health plus, a Medical Doctor will make the assessment in respect to whether you require Orthotic support or medical attention. This is one of the major benefits of Global health plus that allows you peace of mind when your diagnosis is being undertaken.

Do I require a referral? 

No referral is required.

How long does it take to make the orthotics? 

Due to the equipment used by Global health plus, the time it takes is minimal. Usually from 1-2 weeks and you will have your Orthotics.

Is follow up treatment/assessment required?

Normally. This is to ensure that the Orthotics are doing the job that they were made for and the underlying cause of the initial problem is being corrected.

How do I make an appointment? 

Global health plus work out of three locations. Canberra, Goulburn and Sydney. This makes it much easier for their patients to attend one of their clinics.
